I’m the President and Co-Founder of Alignment Financial, where we specialize in helping roofing business owners turn the success they’ve built with their hands into a life of purpose, freedom, and fulfillment.

Before stepping into financial services, I spent seven years as a carpenter, focused on cabinetry and finish work. That experience shaped how I see the world. I understand what it means to work long days, take pride in the details, and build something from nothing. It also gave me a deep respect for the people doing that work.

In finance, as in carpentry, there’s a right tool for every job, and I enjoy helping roofers, who are largely underserved, understand those financial tools and when to use them. They have opportunities that many don’t, but don’t realize it.

Over the years, I’ve worked across the financial spectrum, from protecting young families to designing retirement income strategies. But what I find most meaningful is helping business owners align their values with their financial decisions—so they’re not just building a business, but building a life they can enjoy.

What did you want to be when you grew up?
A professional baseball player—specifically, the Red Sox 3rd baseman.

What’s your favorite cereal?
Two bowls of Frosted Flakes.

What TV shows or movies do you regularly quote?
The Office, Field of Dreams, and Back to the Future.

If you could change your name, what would it be?
Ken Rivers. That’s what everyone called me in Brazil because “Riewerts” was too hard to pronounce.

If you were shrunk to the size of a pencil and placed in a blender, how would you get out?
I’d fashion a rope out of my tiny clothes, break off the blade, and use it as a hook.

If you could ask your pet 3 questions, what would they be?
Do dogs understand each other? What’s your favorite thing to do? And… where is my old wallet?
